Role Description

The Associate Director, US Market Access Therapeutic Area Strategy is responsible for supporting the optimization of the market access strategy for launch and inline brands through the delivery of the tactics designed to achieve the market access strategy. This role will work across the US market access organization to ensure that different subgroups are involved and/or informed in tactical execution as appropriate.

  • Support TA Director/Executive Director as single point of contact for US integrated product strategy teams (IPST)
  • Assist in the development of annual Market Access product-specific strategic and tactical plans
  • Engage with the Novartis Patient Support, Integrated Marketing, and Customer Engagement Organizations
  • Develop externally facing market access materials for Market Access, Marketing, Patient Support, and Customer Engagement organizations
  • Support forecasting and GTN activities
  • Support the socialization of US market access product strategies and performance
  • Support development of critical access market research
  • Manage vendor RFP process and ensure contracting compliance
  • Manage multiple budgets and deliverables
  • Work closely with Legal, Compliance, Brand and Marketing teams
  • Master the NVS Material Approval Process
  • Ensure adherence to ethical and compliance policies

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required; MBA, Healthy Policy or equivalent preferred
  • Minimum of 5 years of pharmaceutical experience in Marketing/Sales, Market Access or Managed Markets Finance
  • Awareness and understanding of US healthcare dynamics and the drivers of pharmaceutical value
  • Success in the areas of commercial pharmaceuticals and a track record of execution and results
  • Strong interpersonal, communication and analytical skills
  • Ability to consistently meet deadlines and manage multiple projects
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly PowerPoint and Excel

  • Ability to adapt to changes within the internal and external environment
  • Engage within a matrixed organization across product, marketing and customer experience
  • Travel as required

Salary Range

$160,300.00 - $297,700.00
