Role Description
The Ambulatory and Specialty Apps & Diagnosis Unit in Clinical Systems and Services is looking for a full stack software engineer to join the Data Informatics team. This role is required to provide support for ongoing development projects and ensure timely delivery of high-quality software solutions, plus address emerging priorities around AI and Agentic AI capabilities and skills.
- Provide support for ongoing development projects
- Ensure timely delivery of high-quality software solutions
- Address emerging priorities around AI and Agentic AI capabilities
- Design and build back-end services that support data-centric clinical and analytic applications
- Ensure cloud-based micro-services adhere to uptime and accuracy targets
- Work closely with data engineering, platform, and solutions teams
- Translate requirements into code with Product Owners, Product Managers, and Architects
- Participate in DevOps, Agile, continuous development and integration frameworks
- Communicate effectively with peers, leaders, and customers
- Participate in expert level troubleshooting and resolve problems through root cause analysis
Qualifications
- Competent in any object-oriented language such as Java and C#/.NET
- Experience with Angular, MS SQL/relational databases, and Cloud non-relational databases
- Familiarity with HL7, client/server development, and web development
- Familiarity with APIs (REST, FHIR, Akana/Apigee)
- Experience with Cloud infrastructure, Google Cloud or Microsoft Azure Cloud
- Experience with Azure DevOps and Agile software development methodologies
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
Requirements
- Programming in high-level languages such as Go, Python, Java, etc.
- Experience with deployment automation/configuration management tools including ADO, Puppet, Chef, Ansible, Azure Pipelines, CloudFormation, Terraform
- Ability to create and maintain documentation of processes and source code
- Ability to perform a range of mainly straightforward assignments
- Moderate level of guidance and direction required
