Role Description

The AR Specialist II is responsible for managing the accounts receivable (AR) process within the revenue cycle. This role involves:

  • Reviewing, processing, and following up on outstanding claims and payments
  • Ensuring timely reimbursement from insurance companies, consumers, and other third parties
  • Working closely with various internal teams, including billing, coding, and clinical departments
  • Resolving discrepancies and addressing denials
  • Ensuring compliance with regulations

The Accounts Receivable Specialist is accountable for daily operational tasks associated with revenue cycle accounts receivable, including:

  • Follow-up and timely management of requests from consumers and insurance payers
  • Preparing all appeals and resolving all upfront edits and denials
  • Monitoring and processing monthly write-offs, charge corrections, and reconciliation of claim files

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent (Required)
  • 3 years Revenue Cycle Management required
  • Coding knowledge preferred
  • Insurance, claims, denials experience
