Role Description

As the Vice President of Planning, you will lead the continuous delivery and improvement of Paula’s Choice global supply, demand, and inventory management.

  • Own end-to-end demand and supply planning, Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP), inventory strategy, and supplier performance across global DTC, retail, and marketplace businesses.
  • Partner closely with Commercial, Finance, Marketing, Procurement, Quality, IT, and Product Development leaders.
  • Lead, manage, and develop a remote team of supply, demand, and inventory planners and managers.

Key metrics for this position include:

  • Customer service
  • In-stock
  • Lead-times
  • Inventory days on hand and dollars
  • Supplier on-time in full
  • SLOB/write-offs
  • People engagement

A typical day might include:

  • Strategic Leadership: Design and implement global demand, supply, and inventory strategy and execution plans.
  • S&OP Leadership: Drive, own, and implement an end-to-end S&OP process.
  • Inventory Planning & Management: Establish inventory strategies that optimize working capital.
  • Supplier Management: Develop and nurture relationships with key suppliers.
  • Process Improvement: Lead continuous improvement to enhance supply chain efficiency.
  • Sustainability: Integrate sustainability objectives into supply chain operations.
  • Risk Management: Proactively identify and mitigate supply risks.
  • Data Management, Analytics & Systems: Own the design, implementation, and maintenance of planning data and analytics.
  • Team Leadership: Lead, motivate, inspire, and develop a US-based remote team.
  • Other responsibilities as assigned by your manager.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 15 years in supply chain management, including 10+ years in leadership roles
  • Demonstrated success leading S&OP in a multi-channel company
  • Deep expertise in demand planning, supply planning, and inventory management across complex, multi-channel environments (including DTC)
  • Global supply chain experience and effective cross-time-zone collaboration
  • Proven ability to lead, develop, and retain distributed/remote teams
  • Strong cross-functional influence and executive presence
  • Experience driving ERP implementations/optimizations and planning tool deployments
  • Exceptional analytical skills and data-driven decision-making
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
  • Familiarity with marketplace channels (e.g., Amazon) and major retail partners
  • Proven track record of optimizing supply chain operations, processes, and cost efficiencies
  • Bias for action, collaborative spirit, and passion for building scalable processes in a fast-paced environment

Requirements

  • Consumer products, skincare, or beauty industry experience
  • Supplier management experience with contract manufacturers and packaging suppliers
  • Lean experience
  • Oracle and NetSuite familiarity
  • Experience working in a matrixed environment or subsidiary of a large company
  • APICS CPIM or CSCP certification
  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or related field; Master’s preferred
