Role Description
Join Nationwide’s ATOM team as a C#/.NET developer building custom applications and tools that power critical actuarial functions. This role is ideal for curious, innovative problem solvers who enjoy full lifecycle ownership from requirements through development, testing, delivery, and ongoing support.
- Build, enhance, and support custom applications for Actuarial teams
- Develop solutions using C#, SQL, and Python
- Partner with actuaries to translate business needs into technical requirements
- Own projects end to end in a collaborative, small team environment
- Contribute to automation, data pipelines, and visualization tools
- Influence the technical direction of our actuarial tooling ecosystem
- Work across SQL Server and Snowflake environments, supporting a modern data stack
Qualifications
- Strong C# development experience (3–5 years preferred)
- MS SQL and Snowflake proficiency
- Ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues
- Experience collaborating with both technical and nontechnical partners
Requirements
- Python experience
- Experience with Snowflake or Databricks
- Interest in exploring native Snowflake development approaches, including Snowpark, stored procedures, and UDF‑based tooling
- Power BI or Tableau
- Actuarial domain familiarity or modeling platform experience (GGY AXIS, Milliman Integrate)
