Role Description
The Assoc Director Health Economics and Outcomes Research is responsible for partnering with strategic customers to lead and execute hospital quality improvement initiatives, which result in improved clinical and economic outcomes. The Assoc Director will report to the Sr. Director of Health Economics and Market Access and work closely with the Clinical, Medical and Health Economics data science team, Commercial team and the Healthcare Solutions team to execute on the health economics strategy.
- Your role is vital in ensuring the long-term success and impact of Heart Recovery Centers by balancing financial considerations, accessibility, and the delivery of high-quality care through well-planned economic and quality improvement strategies.
- Collaborate with physicians, healthcare providers, administrators, and stakeholders to execute data-driven quality improvement initiatives that improve outcomes for CS patients.
- Drive adoption of CS quality improvement initiatives across hospitals and IHNs in partnership with matrixed teams resulting in publications and continuous system-wide policy monitoring.
- Partner with data experts to define key metrics, set analytic strategy, and present baseline and outcome findings to stakeholders.
- Execute targeted process-improvement initiatives to support hospital/system goals and demonstrate improved patient outcomes.
- Serve as an expert resource to internal and external stakeholders (e.g., Clinical Field Specialists, physicians), leveraging clinician relationships and direct interactions.
- Engage cross-functional and external partners to advance data-driven projects and sustain program momentum.
- Monitor performance metrics continuously and iterate on interventions to optimize clinical and economic outcomes.
Qualifications
- Cardiology and surgery sales and/or clinical support experience
- Strong understanding of and experience working with health databases (e.g., electronic health records, billing databases, claims)
- Experience working in a matrixed environment that requires coordination and alignment of multiple stakeholders to achieve objectives
- Experience engaging with administrators, service line leaders and physicians
- 7 years of MedTech experience
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree (MPH, Information Systems, Health Economics preferred)
- Minimum of 10 years’ experience in healthcare/MedTech
- Strong written and oral communication skills required: The ability to communicate complex messages in simple language is required.
- Experience leading hospital quality improvement initiatives
