Role Description
The Academic Success Coach plays an integral role in the support and success of students in an accelerated nursing program at our site in Parsippany, NJ. Major responsibilities include:
- Academic advising/success coaching
- Retention/persistence of enrolled nursing students
- Interaction with students, university faculty, advising teams, professional staff, and other program personnel
- Enhancing and facilitating the progression and graduation of students

Academic Partner: Felician University - Accelerated Bachelor of Science in Nursing
Site location: Remote
Schedule: Part-Time, Hours will vary depending on needs (avg 15-25 hrs/week)
Training Start: April 2026
Compensation: $22/hour

Primary Job Objectives
- Facilitation and support of student progression
- Provide coordination of appropriate student services
- Manage student registration process for each semester (3 per year)
What You Will Do
- Provides proactive and developmental coaching/advising for incoming and active students
- Actively initiates and continues ongoing guidance to students whose grades, attendance, and/or personal barriers put them academically at risk
- Communicates concerns about student progress to the student, faculty members, and administration in conjunction with coaching efforts and strategy
- Ensures timely coordination of registration of selected courses
- Acts as a liaison for student(s) in matters related to academic appeals, readmission requests, grievances, etc. affecting a student’s progress through the program
- Appropriately documents communication with students and maintains all required student population reports
What You Will Have
- Bachelor's degree required
- Master’s degree in counseling or related field preferred
- Additional ongoing training, certifications, or seminar attendance desired
- Positive attitude, high level of energy and enthusiasm
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret reports
- Confidence, resilience, strong organizational skills, exceptional persistence, a high level of commitment, and the ability to guide and motivate others
