Role Description
A Principal Consultant at Argano is an experienced professional in the consulting family who provides expert advice and analysis in their field of proficiency. They are involved directly with clients and project management responsibilities related to their field of proficiency. They are responsible for delivering quality work independently on mid-size to large client projects. They work as part of a team under the direction of more experienced consultants as part of larger workstreams. They provide expert advice, guidance, and solutions related to technology and information systems. They demonstrate good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions for clients based upon their experience and best practices to achieve client's business objectives more efficiently and effectively.
- Using in-depth knowledge of the JD Edwards Homebuilder applications, consult with clients to provide cost-effective solutions to solve business issues
- Work collaboratively with project team and client employees to develop, test, and implement JD Edwards Homebuilder solutions
- Refine customer requirements in detail, document and present to the client for approval
- Identify and apply creative and innovative approaches to resolving product implementation and integration obstacles
- Analyze current systems and data to identify new requirements, recognizing the need for systems enhancements or modifications if necessary
- Develop unit test scripts and coordinate with the client to perform the User Acceptance Testing of the system enhancements or custom solutions
- Conduct and lead Conference Room Pilots (CRP) and User Acceptance Testing
- Go-Live preparation and cut-over support, and post-production support
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Business Administration, Economics, Finance, Engineering, etc.
- Minimum 7 years of experience as JD Edwards Homebuilder consultant with 3+ years of experience in implementing or supporting projects and upgrades
- Homebuilder Industry expert
- Strong consulting experience and business analytical skills to gather and document business requirements, leading fit-gap analysis, business process designs, managing conference room pilots (CRPs), perform functional configuration, and manage testing of procurement ERP solutions
- Ability to lead a team, work independently and manage multiple task assignments
- Ability to maintain a positive attitude under stressful circumstances
- Senior enough to be able to independently handle client expectations
- Excellent interpersonal, organizational, presentation, and communication skills
- High commitment to exceed performance expectations
- High degree of initiative, accuracy, efficiency, and attention to detail
- Professional approach when dealing with internal and external customers
- Produce end-user and technical documentation and facilitate knowledge transfer
- Proficient with MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
