Role Description

Reporting to Finance leadership, you will build and lead modern, automation-first accounts payable and accounts receivable operations across fiat and digital asset rails. This is not a manual processing role — it is an opportunity to architect scalable finance infrastructure for a Web3-native payments company.

You will streamline how money moves in and out of Polygon Labs by implementing intelligent systems, improving controls, and embedding automation and AI into core workflows. • Own and evolve end-to-end AP/AR operations while building scalable systems to support a growing global payments business.
• Lead full-cycle AP and AR processes across fiat and onchain transactions, including invoicing, collections, vendor management, reconciliations, and cash application.
• Build and standardize revenue operations workflows to support multiple onchain and traditional revenue streams.
• Drive AR collections strategy, partnering cross-functionally on sensitive accounts and dispute resolution.
• Reconcile bank accounts and onchain wallets; maintain subledgers and ensure accurate month-end close alignment with the general ledger.
• Evaluate, implement, and integrate automation tools, including AI-powered invoice capture, auto-reconciliation, intelligent payment reminders, and billing platforms.
• Manage and mentor a part-time Bookkeeper; maintain clear SOPs to ensure audit readiness and operational scale.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of AP/AR or accounting operations experience, including 2+ years in a leadership or senior capacity.
• Hands-on experience managing both fiat and digital asset transactions.
• Demonstrated experience implementing automation within ERP or finance workflows (e.g., AI invoice tools, integrations, billing systems).
• Proficiency in NetSuite or a comparable ERP system.
• Experience managing a direct report or contractor in a fast-paced, evolving environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in a Web3, fintech, or crypto-native organization.
• Familiarity with multi-entity structures and global operations.
• Experience implementing or managing billing or usage-based invoicing platforms.
• Background applying AI tools to finance or accounting workflows.
