Role Description
This role leads the operational strategy and execution for enterprise-level games licensing initiatives, driving both efficiency and strategic impact.
- Oversee cross-functional teams and liaise with internal and external stakeholders
- Optimize licensing operations to ensure scalable, high-quality outcomes
- Combine leadership, process improvement, and vendor management responsibilities
- Focus on performance metrics and risk mitigation
- Thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment leveraging deep industry knowledge and a passion for gaming
- Measure success by the smooth execution of licensing agreements, market responsiveness, and collaboration across teams
- Develop and implement operational strategies to support growth and success in games licensing
- Lead cross-functional collaboration across production, marketing, content, business development, legal, finance, and product teams
- Identify and implement process improvements, creating best practices to enhance operational efficiency
- Manage vendor relationships, ensuring alignment with strategic goals and operational standards
- Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure operational success and drive continuous improvement
- Identify risks in licensing operations and develop mitigation strategies to ensure compliance and protect organizational interests
- Stay informed on gaming industry trends, competitive landscape, and emerging opportunities to inform strategic decision-making
Qualifications
- 8–10 years of experience in operations within licensing, publishing, or product development, preferably in gaming or entertainment
- Strong leadership and team development experience managing high-performing teams
- Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and data-driven decision-making skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities to influence and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels
- Deep understanding and passion for the UGC gaming ecosystem and familiarity with major players and current trends
- Proven track record managing complex projects and delivering results in dynamic, fast-paced environments
- Additional experience in game production or marketing, credited on multiple launched titles, is highly desirable
- Knowledge of emerging gaming platforms and technologies, including streaming, is a plus
