Linguists are responsible for ensuring translations of Clinical Outcome Assessments are linguistically and culturally accurate by adhering to instructions and researching industry-specific terminology. They must also cross-reference glossaries, quality check translations, and communicate proactively with internal teams regarding capacity and project issues.

The primary responsibility involves conducting Cognitive Debriefing as part of the Linguistic Validation process for Clinical Outcome Assessments. This includes having participants review translated instruments and provide feedback on clarity and cultural relevance to an interviewer.
