The MDS Nurse coordinates the Resident Assessment Instrument (RAI) process with the interdisciplinary team, completing the MDS, CAA’s, and care plans within regulated time frames by assessing residents and interviewing responsible parties. This role also involves coordinating significant change MDSs, conducting PPS meetings, and maintaining current knowledge of requirements through professional association contact.
