The company continues to bolster wildfire prevention and emergency response efforts, putting in place new and enhanced safety measures, and hardening its electric system to help reduce wildfire risks and keep customers safe. A key tool in the CWSP portfolio is the Public Safety Power Shutoff (PSPS) Team, designed to de-energize portions of PG&E’s system during extreme weather conditions, to mitigate the risk of catastrophic fire. Preparing for PSPS events is a significant effort as PG&E works in partnership with its customers, regulatory entities, civic leaders, and community leaders to reduce wildfire threats. The dedicated Project Management Office (PMO) works to effectively manage PSPS readiness across workstreams, and oversees a number of activities, including: PSPS Program design and decision making process PSPS regulatory compliance reporting PSPS Restoration strategy Training for and execution of PSPS events within the Emergency Operations Center environment Stakeholder engagement
