Role Description
We’re hiring a builder-operator to join our Business Operations team and work directly with Finance, Legal, Ops, and Recruiting to scale the systems and processes that run Stedi.
- This role spans tools, numbers, and documentation – we want a hands-on builder who’s also comfortable analyzing P&Ls and customer agreements.
- You’ll build deep context on Stedi’s highest-priority initiatives – then turn that context into durable workflows, integrations, and tooling that make the company run faster and more reliably.
- You will work directly with the Head of Finance & Operations to identify and prioritize the greatest opportunities across Stedi, define what “better” looks like, and ship new solutions – often by building it yourself.
- This isn't a check-the-box or project management role. We need someone who can own ambiguous problems end-to-end, build scalable processes and real usable tools, and take on substantive work across Business Operations to help shape Stedi for the future.
What you'll do
- Partner with senior leaders in Finance, Legal, People, Operations, and GTM to bring structure, insight, and velocity to top-priority operational challenges.
- Design and build tools, integrations, and automation that turn bespoke work into reusable workflows (e.g., ROI/margin calculators, pricing/packaging helpers, CPQ flows, FP&A dashboards).
- Map and continuously improve data flows and processes across business systems (including ERP, CPQ, CLM, FP&A) throughout the company.
- Build and deploy AI-enabled workflows (e.g., contracting support, deal desk triage, data validation) that increase speed and accuracy without compromising security and controls.
- Build solution-grade analytics that shape decisions – ranging from scrappy Excel analysis to durable dashboards, data models, and pipelines.
- Develop and maintain full-context documentation (e.g., SOPs, data flow diagrams, configs) so changes are auditable, repeatable, and don’t live in someone’s head.
Qualifications
- 3+ years in integration engineering, consulting, finance, business operations, or similar roles in fast-paced environments.
- You’ve developed strong judgment in at least one of these domains; broader experience is a plus.
- More senior candidates with broader experience are also encouraged to apply.
Requirements
- You are technical and hands-on. You understand APIs/data models, can work in modern business systems, and can ship spreadsheets, scripts, automations, and lightweight apps – knowing when to pull in engineering.
- You are analytical. You’re fluent in unit economics, margin mechanics, resource constraints, and you can build models that stand up to scrutiny.
- You can ship – spreadsheets, scripts, automations, and lightweight apps – and you know when to pull in engineering vs. handle it yourself.
- You think in systems. You design workflows and data models that scale, are observable, and don’t break quietly.
- You thrive in ambiguity, create structure from chaos, and can independently design scalable processes from scratch.
- You have high throughput and a bias to action – low ego, strong follow-through, and you close loops.
- You can communicate clearly and confidently with senior leaders both in writing and in conversation.
