Job Requirements
- Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering or related field
- At least 10 years of relevant experience in mechanical systems engineering
- At least 5 years of experience in the nuclear industry or equivalent large scale power generation industry
- Leadership experience within an EPC project delivery model executing a full project execution lifecycle, with special emphasis on early project phases
- Master’s or PhD in Mechanical Engineering or related field
- Professional Engineer registration in one or more states
- Strong knowledge of mechanical systems design principles, including safety classification, functional requirements, and performance criteria
- Demonstrated ability to adapt mechanical systems designs to new codes, standards, and regulations
- Familiarity with mechanical codes and standards such as ASME, ANSI/ANS, etc.
- Knowledge of diverse regulatory schemes (e.g., US NRC, CNSC, IAEA, etc.)
- Working knowledge of earned value management principles and strategies for both proactive schedule management and recovery of off track engineering deliverables
- Strong sense of engineering scope ownership and ability to drive successful team performance
- Proven ability to be a liaison between organizations that are operating in separate geographic locations
- High performing individual with demonstrated ability to deliver results while exhibiting behaviors that promote strong team performance
- Proven interpersonal and leadership skills with the ability to think strategically, be creative and move quickly
- Demonstrated ability to lead a team of highly experienced engineers and balance multiple demands and priorities
- Experience with project management skillset (communication, risk, planning/scheduling, change management)
- EPC experience and knowledge; specifically, power plant
- Understanding of nuclear industry and technology
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to document, plan, market and manage programs that further the knowledge, understanding and capability of the business
