Role Description
The People and Culture Business Partner is a key member of the People & Culture team, responsible for shaping and executing HR strategies that support employee engagement, organizational effectiveness, and business performance. This role partners closely with business leaders to deliver solutions in the areas of employee experience, talent development, organizational design, total rewards, and change management.
- Contribute to Versaterm’s organic and inorganic growth strategies by driving performance through the development and delivery of people solutions
- Use turnover data, exit interviews, and engagement surveys to review trends; make appropriate recommendations to the leadership team and managers based on findings
- Drive functional people strategies including team clarity and cohesion, organizational development, workforce planning, and team member development
- Support M&A activities focused on stabilization, integration, cultural alignment, and employee experience
- Role model and embody all the Versaterm cultural principles and values; understand and promote our ways of working
- Create and lead the planning and implementation of change programs impacting critical functions; partner with key stakeholders to identify opportunities for enhancements
- Effectively manage team member issues and performance management deficiencies using existing internal guidelines
- Employ best practices alongside Versaterm principles to develop high-trust, high-performing teams in partnership with the organizational leadership teams
- Perform other related duties as assigned to support team objectives, departmental needs, and overall organizational priorities
- Partner with the P&C leadership team to align salary review activities with the organization’s compensation philosophy, pay equity objectives, and business strategy
- Provide guidance to managers on salary adjustments, promotions, and market competitiveness
- Support the end-to-end execution of the annual compensation review process in collaboration with senior leadership and Finance
- Serve as a trusted advisor to business leaders on HR and DEI matters, aligning workforce practices with business objectives
- Conduct internal equity assessments—reviewing policies and processes through a DEI lens—to identify disparities and apply corrective measures
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Human Resources, or a related field
- 5+ years of experience in Human Resources ideally within the technology, software, or high-growth sector
- 3+ years of experience in an HR Business Partner role
- Comprehensive understanding of current US HR legislation and employment standards
- Strong business acumen
- Exposure to HR Technology implementations
- Experience with rapid, complex, and changing work environments
- The ability to influence and impact key decisions by demonstrating deep subject matter expertise
Requirements
- Due to the nature of our work with public safety agencies, this position requires compliance with the FBI's Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) Security Policy
- Candidates must successfully pass a comprehensive, fingerprint-based background check
- Specific customer contracts may impose additional security verification requirements
- Obtaining and maintaining all required security clearances is a condition of employment
