Job Description
As Marqeta’s Senior Account Manager, you will support one of our largest global strategic accounts, serving as the primary point of contact for day-to-day operations and ongoing client needs. Working closely with a cross-functional team, you will help ensure seamless execution, proactive communication, and high-quality client service.
You will build strong working relationships across the customer’s organization, identify opportunities to improve processes and drive incremental growth, and partner internally to deliver effective, timely solutions. By staying close to the customer’s evolving business priorities, you will help optimize daily operations and support long-term account success.

Who You Are
- 5+ years of Global Enterprise Account Management experience in the payments industry
- Strong communication skills (interpersonal, verbal, presentation, written, email) and track record of creating and executing strategic account plans
- Strong grasp of industry trends and competitive landscape
- Familiarity and first-hand knowledge in fintech, banking or payments
- Positive attitude, team player, adaptable, and resourceful
- Technical aptitude with demonstrated ability to understand and explain complex technical concepts in a straightforward manner
- Experience or familiarity with high-growth fintechs and financial services companies
- Card Issuing and Processing experience
Key Skills & Competencies
- Proven experience growing and scaling strategic or enterprise accounts
- Proven track record of managing global customers with multi region stakeholders
- Proven track record of cross-selling and upselling, and ability to identify new revenue streams based on customer needs
- Experience partnering with banking operations teams and external banking partners to drive critical submissions to completion
- Experience participating in business reviews and using data-driven strategies to make informed decisions

Within our Revenue organization at Marqeta, On Target Earnings (OTE) is composed of a mix between annual salary and variable compensation, which is earned based on your individual performance and that of your immediate team. The split is 70/30.
When determining an OTE figure we consider several factors including, but not limited to, skills, prior experience, and work location. The new-hire OTE range for this position is:
- National: $143,000 - $178,800
- Premium: $154,900 - $193,600
- Premium Plus: $168,300 - $210,400
