Role Description
The Environmental Compliance Manager is responsible for managing environmental compliance programs related to air emissions, environmental noise, refrigerant management, spill prevention, chemical inventory reporting, waste management, and other environmental matters.
- Manage environmental compliance programs for 40+ US facilities.
- Program management will focus on air permitting, environmental noise, refrigerant management, spill prevention, chemical inventory reporting, waste management, and other applicable environmental requirements.
- Oversee environmental consultants responsible for project execution.
- Offer technical and regulatory guidance and training to operations personnel and other internal stakeholders.
- Build and maintain relationships with regulatory agencies.
- Oversee environmental due diligence assessments in support of financial transactions. Track findings and coordinate follow-up actions as needed.
- Identify opportunities for improvement to existing environmental compliance programs. Develop and execute plans for implementing improvements.
- Monitor environmental regulations relevant to the data center industry. Support the development of strategies to ensure compliance with new requirements while aligning with company goals and priorities.
Qualifications
- 5+ years working in environmental compliance.
- Specialized knowledge of Federal-level environmental requirements related to Clean Air Act; Spill Prevention, Control, and Countermeasure; Emergency Planning and Community Right-to-Know Act; Resource Conservation and Recovery Act; and refrigerant management.
- Demonstrated ability to read, interpret, and communicate environmental regulatory requirements outlined in state and local regulations and site-specific environmental permits.
- Experience with environmental due diligence assessments.
- Strong technical writing skills.
- Strong communication and relationship management skills.
- Demonstrated ability to present technical information to internal and external audiences with varied backgrounds.

- Bachelor’s degree in science, engineering, or related technical discipline.
Work Environment
- The Environmental Compliance Manager position is remote or office-based in Dallas, TX with up to 25% travel.
