Job Description

Are you looking to kickstart or advance your career in biomedical technology? Join our team as a Biomedical Technician, where you'll receive on-the-job training and support from leading manufacturers. This role focuses on the service and repair of a broad range of medical equipment, including sterilizers and anesthesia machines, primarily within ambulatory surgery centers.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Install, maintain, and repair a wide range of medical equipment, with a focus on sterilizers and anesthesia machines.
  • Ensure all equipment meets necessary safety and performance standards.
  • Conduct regular preventive maintenance and calibration of medical equipment.
  • Perform biomedical inspections on equipment to ensure proper functioning and compliance with safety standards.
  • Troubleshoot issues using diagnostic tools and technical manuals.
  • Train and support clinical staff on the proper use of equipment.
  • Manage service records and documentation of all maintenance activities.
  • Provide on-call technical support and perform emergency repairs as needed.
  • Adhere to national and international standards for medical equipment safety and performance.
  • Travel to various sites for repairs, installations, and routine service as needed.

Required Qualifications

  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel extensively (over 50% of the time).
  • Basic technical skills and a keen interest in biomedical equipment.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills for effective interaction with medical staff and colleagues.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and adapt to changing priorities.

Desired Skills

  • Any certification or hands-on experience with biomedical equipment (e.g., Mindray, GE, Primus, Steris, Getinge, Tuttnauer) is a plus.
  • Experience with software and hardware integration in medical devices.
  • Knowledge of current medical device regulations and compliance requirements.
