Role Description
The Specialty Operations Pharmacy Technician 2 supports Pharmacists in Specialty Rx medication preparation by dispensing Specialty Rx medications. This role involves performing varied activities and moderately complex administrative, operational, and customer support assignments.
- Performs computations and typically works on semi-routine assignments.
- May contact physicians for prescription clarification and enter prescription orders into the system.
- Supports Pharmacists and Patients by ensuring adherence to Specialty Rx specific operational processes and programs.
- Communicates effectively with patients and providers to optimize health outcomes.
- Works within defined parameters to identify work expectations and quality standards.
- Has some latitude over prioritization and timing, working under minimal direction.
- Follows standard policies and practices that allow for some opportunity for interpretation and independent discretion.
Qualifications
- Must have an active license with the Board of Pharmacy in the appropriate state.
- Certified Pharmacy Technician.
Requirements
- Schedule: Monday-Friday, 2:30 PM-11 PM EST.
- Travel: Occasional travel to Humana's offices for training or meetings may be required.
- Scheduled Weekly Hours: 40.
