  • Be a Hands-On Contributor: Actively write, test, and deploy high-quality code in Java and React, leading by example.
  • Drive Technical Design: Lead architectural and design discussions for new features within your pod's domain, ensuring solutions are scalable, secure, and maintainable on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
  • Uphold Code Quality: Champion engineering best practices by performing thorough code reviews, promoting effective testing strategies, and maintaining a high bar for quality.
  • Mentor Your Pod: Coach and mentor junior and mid-level engineers, helping them grow their technical skills and unblocking them when they encounter difficult challenges.
  • Ensure Predictable Delivery: Take ownership of the pod's sprint commitments. Proactively identify risks and dependencies and communicate status clearly to the Engineering Manager.
  • Obtain a Google Professional certification (ex. Google Cloud Engineer or Cloud Architect) within the first 90 days of hire.
  • Uphold and demonstrate behavior consistent with our Core Values.
