Responsibilities
Pre-Sales Solution Architect – Digital ID This role acts as the technical authority and primary architect within the Digital ID sales process. The candidate will bridge the gap between complex client requirements and our SaaS/API-driven portfolio, with a specific focus on the Microsoft Entra ecosystem. You will be responsible for designing high-level architectures and building hands-on demonstrations to prove value to customers.
Technical Solution Design & Architecture
- Acts as the lead Solution Architect during the pre-sales phase, translating customer business challenges into technical designs using our Digital ID SaaS portfolio.
- Designs API-driven architectures that integrate seamlessly with client legacy systems and modern cloud environments.
- Ensures proposed solutions align with industry standards (OIDC, Verifiable Credentials, DID).
- Collaborates with Product Management to align customer technical requirements with the roadmap.
Hands-on Demonstration & Prototyping
- Builds and configures live demos: Unlike a pure functional role, this position requires the technical ability to configure APIs, set up environments, and script proof-of-concepts (POCs) to demonstrate capability.
- Creates specific integration scenarios showcasing interoperability with the Microsoft Entra ecosystem (Verified ID, Identity Governance).
- Manages the technical "sandbox" environment for prospective clients.
Bid Management & Technical Response
- Writes and coordinates the technical sections of responses to solicitations (RFP, RFI, RFQ).
- Works in autonomy to document architecture diagrams, data flow charts, and security compliance statements.
- documents and challenges the costing for SaaS consumption models and professional services.
Customer Engagement & Value Articulation
- Pitches and promotes the Digital ID portfolio to C-level executives (CIO/CTO) and technical stakeholders.
- Acts as the main contact point for technical topics (security, API integration, SLA) during the pre-sales phase.
- Maintains a deep knowledge of the Digital ID competitive landscape and the Microsoft Identity ecosystem.
The candidate will operate globally or regionally depending on assignment, supporting sales teams across multiple verticals.
Qualifications
- Technical expertise: Deep understanding of SaaS architecture, REST APIs, and Cloud Infrastructure (Azure/AWS).
- Domain knowledge: Strong knowledge of Digital Identity protocols (OIDC, OAuth2, SAML, FIDO2) and the Verifiable Credentials model.
- Microsoft ecosystem: Specific experience with Microsoft Entra (formerly Azure AD) is highly preferred.
- Hands-on capability: Ability to script/code (Python, JS, or similar) to build functional demos and call APIs.
- Solution selling: Ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
- Writing capabilities: Ability to write technical proposals for customers respecting constraints from RFPs.
- Autonomous: Capable of leading the technical strategy for a deal with minimal supervision.
- Communication: Fluent in English (Written and Spoken), French is a plus.
Education or equivalent work experience
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Information Technology.
Experience
- 5 to 10 years of relevant experience in Pre-Sales Engineering or Solution Architecture.
- Proven track record in the Identity and Access Management (IAM) or Digital ID industry.
