This role is crucial in helping to anticipate market trends, understand competitive threats, and develop accurate forecasts that will inform critical and strategic business decisions.

The person in this role will be a key member of the Commercial Effectiveness team and will partner closely with cross-functional stakeholders (e.g., Marketing, Sales, FP&A) to optimize estimation and articulation of Insmed’s commercial opportunities.

What You'll Do:

  • Lead the monitoring and synthesis of competitive data (e.g., clinical trial databases, market research, scientific publications) to provide actionable insights for senior leadership and cross-functional teams.
  • Communicate complex market and competitive intelligence findings in a clear, concise manner to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Work closely with Commercial teams to provide insights that support strategic decision-making, including portfolio management and market entry planning.
  • Collaborate with Clinical, Regulatory, and Commercial teams to ensure that forecast assumptions are aligned with clinical trial plans, development milestones, market launch plans, and commercial strategy.
  • Partner with Finance and Investor Relations to ensure that competitive intelligence and forecast data are integrated into corporate financial projections and external communications.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, engineering or related discipline required (advanced degree preferred).
  • 8+ years of leadership experience in developing product forecasts and market assessments within the biotech or pharmaceutical industry (will consider related experience).
  • Extensive knowledge of pharmaceutical data (e.g., sales, specialty pharmacy, payer, longitudinal patient-level data).
  • Experience with advanced analytical modeling; experience with secondary data (e.g., APLD medical claims data, audited TRx data (IQVIA or Symphony Health), and epidemiology references).
  • Strong blend of technical proficiency, business acumen, and experience informing business growth and opportunity.
  • Collaborative and influential leadership style, with the ability to build strong partnerships across the organization.
  • High proficiency in MS Office (Excel/PowerPoint).
  • Agile team player; able to adapt and execute based on evolving business needs, with strong active listening skills.
  • Ability to extract and quickly process key information, summarize needs of cross-functional teams, and provide targeted and appropriate insights and recommendations.
  • Skilled at leading without authority in a cross-functional environment.

Requirements

  • Occasional travel for team meetings or events will be expected.

Benefits

  • Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage and mental health support, annual wellbeing reimbursement, and access to our Employee Assistance Program (EAP).
  • Generous paid time off policies, fertility and family-forming benefits, caregiver support, and flexible work schedules with purposeful in-person collaboration.
  • 401(k) plan with a competitive company match, annual equity awards, and participation in our Employee Stock Purchase Plan (ESPP), and company-paid life and disability insurance.
