Role Description
As the Insurance Product Development Specialist at Martin & Company, you will play a key role in leading the strategy, design, and launch of new and enhanced insurance products. This role manages the full product lifecycle - from ideation and market research to regulatory approval and market launch.
- Coordinate with Sales as needed during the sales cycle to assist with driving profitable growth and ensuring our offerings meet customer needs in a competitive landscape.
- Collaborate with insurance carriers and Managing General Agents to develop new and revised forms and manuals.
- Work closely with Actuarial and State Filings to coordinate product launch.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5-7 years of progressive experience in product development and insurance compliance.
- Extensive experience in insurance product development within the insurance industry is required.
- In-depth knowledge and experience with the development of proprietary as well as bureau (i.e. ISO and AAIS) based programs and exceptions.
- Ability to review and interpret bureau circulars.
- Deep knowledge of Property & Casualty insurance products and the associated regulatory environments.
- Proven ability to lead complex, cross-functional initiatives and drive results without direct authority.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (e.g. Excel, Word, and PowerPoint).
- Experience with SERFF, ISOnet, Wrike software project management tool, APCIA, Wolters Kluwer, and IRMI is preferred.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to engage both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver results in a fast-paced environment.
- Proactive mindset with strong analytical skills and the ability to navigate ambiguity.
