Role Description

As the Insurance Product Development Specialist at Martin & Company, you will play a key role in leading the strategy, design, and launch of new and enhanced insurance products. This role manages the full product lifecycle - from ideation and market research to regulatory approval and market launch.

  • Coordinate with Sales as needed during the sales cycle to assist with driving profitable growth and ensuring our offerings meet customer needs in a competitive landscape.
  • Collaborate with insurance carriers and Managing General Agents to develop new and revised forms and manuals.
  • Work closely with Actuarial and State Filings to coordinate product launch.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5-7 years of progressive experience in product development and insurance compliance.
  • Extensive experience in insurance product development within the insurance industry is required.
  • In-depth knowledge and experience with the development of proprietary as well as bureau (i.e. ISO and AAIS) based programs and exceptions.
  • Ability to review and interpret bureau circulars.
  • Deep knowledge of Property & Casualty insurance products and the associated regulatory environments.
  • Proven ability to lead complex, cross-functional initiatives and drive results without direct authority.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (e.g. Excel, Word, and PowerPoint).
  • Experience with SERFF, ISOnet, Wrike software project management tool, APCIA, Wolters Kluwer, and IRMI is preferred.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to engage both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver results in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proactive mindset with strong analytical skills and the ability to navigate ambiguity.
