Job Description

Job Title: Accounting & Sales Support Specialist

Job Level: IC2

Reports to: Controller

Location: Remote


Job Summary:

The Accounting & Sales Support Specialist is responsible for supporting the company’s financial operations, including full-cycle Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, sales order processing, and general accounting support. This role works closely with the Controller and assists with reconciliations and month-end activities to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

Accounts Payable (AP)

  • Enter vendor invoices against approved purchase orders
  • Maintain vendor records, including setup and W-9 collection
  • Prepare and process check and ACH payments
  • Reconcile vendor statements as needed
  • Ensure proper documentation and adherence to internal controls

Accounts Receivable (AR)

  • Create and distribute customer invoices
  • Generate internal invoices for tracking and reporting
  • Issue and monitor down payment invoices
  • Record and apply customer cash receipts
  • Assist with AR aging review and follow-up

Sales Order Processing

  • Enter new sales into the master tracking system
  • Update HubSpot with assigned Sale ID and deal details
  • Place vendor purchase orders with appropriate pricing and payment terms
  • Maintain accurate documentation for all sales transactions

General Accounting & Month-End Support

  • Reconcile company credit card accounts monthly
  • Assist with bank reconciliations as assigned
  • Prepare basic monthly journal entries under the direction of the Controller
  • Support month-end close processes
  • Work closely with the Controller on all Accounting matters
  • Assist with special projects and reporting as needed

Qualifications:

  • 2–5 years of accounting or bookkeeping experience
  • Experience with accounting software (QuickBooks Online & Desktop)
  • Experience reconciling accounts
  • Strong Excel skills
  • High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines

Education:

  • Associate or bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field preferred

Compensation:

This is a non-exempt, hourly position with an anticipated pay range of $50,000 – $65,000 annually, based on a full-time schedule. Actual hourly rates will be determined based on factors such as experience, skills, qualifications, and internal equity.

Because this role is classified as non-exempt under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA), employees are eligible for overtime pay for hours worked over 40 in a workweek, in accordance with applicable federal and state laws.

Additional Requirements

  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States; visa sponsorship is not available for this position.

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail are required to manage multiple transactions, deadlines, and documentation requirements.
  • Ability to work independently in a remote environment while maintaining consistent communication with internal teams and leadership.
  • Must maintain reliable internet access and a workspace suitable for confidential financial and business communications.
  • Must be comfortable working with financial systems, CRM tools, and digital document management systems (e.g., accounting software, HubSpot, Excel, and related tools).
  • Ability to occasionally lift or transport office materials or equipment (up to 25 pounds).
  • Willingness to attend occasional in-person training sessions, team meetings, or company events, which may require limited travel.

Working Conditions

This role supports a collaborative, fast-paced business environment across multiple operating companies within On Point Holdings. The position is primarily remote and requires regular digital communication with accounting, sales, and leadership teams. Work involves extended periods of computer use, financial data entry, reconciliation, and system-based reporting.
