As a Co-Op at Amplify, you will join a collaborative team solving complex challenges in education through innovative technology. You’ll gain hands-on experience contributing to real-world applications across user experience, APIs and services, data analysis, testing, monitoring, and deployment pipelines.
Example Projects You Might Work On:
Designing and building engaging web experiences for teachers and students using modern front-end tools
Implementing logic to support student learning workflows — from data persistence to personalized activity selection
Improving system performance to support millions of students with reliability, scalability, and security in mind
Contributing to application monitoring and performance optimization efforts
Enhancing internal tooling, development workflows, and overall customer experience
Essential Responsibilities:
Writing automated tests (including front-end automation using frameworks such as WebdriverIO)
Supporting equitable student experiences by building applications that perform reliably across platforms and under variable memory and network conditions
Assisting with load testing and performance analysis to improve application reliability and uptime
Monitoring application health to ensure consistent availability for teachers and classrooms
Writing and maintaining API tests to ensure seamless interoperability between services
Contributing to secure, privacy-conscious software development practices
Investigating and resolving bugs using monitoring tools such as DataDog or AWS CloudWatch
Required Qualifications:
Foundational knowledge of computer science principles, including algorithms and data structures
Experience with Java, Python, or JavaScript, and the ability to quickly learn new technologies
Familiarity with relational databases
Exposure to web application development
Strong collaboration skills and openness to giving and receiving feedback
Effective written and verbal communication skills
Preferred Qualifications:
Interest in education technology
Previous internship, project, or academic experience in software development
What we offer:
This role is eligible for participation in a 401(k) plan. The annualized gross salary for this role is $62,400.
