Job Description

Job Summary

Provides guidance and mentoring on the day-to-day activities of Treasury Management customer onboarding/implementation teams. Optimizes the customer set-up experience and implements comprehensive treasury product and technical solutions for Synovus Bank commercial cash management customers. Partners closely with sales and product associates to recommend and communicate change leading to increased efficiencies throughout the department. Assists with leading a high performing team. Works closely with the Treasury Management sales team and customers to interpret customer requirements, design custom solutions, and be accountable for end-to-end implementation processes for all treasury products and services.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provides guidance and mentoring to the implementation and on-boarding team work assignments for new and existing services, including maintenance. Serves as primary onboarding escalation contact for team and internal partners, providing guidance to resolve customer issues. Assists in the development of new processes or procedures in tandem with internal and external partners.
  • Serves as the onboarding subject matter expert for team and partners providing process and product knowledge. Maintains knowledge of latest internal product changes and shares accordingly with the team and partners.
  • Builds strong relationships with business unit partners including sales, operations, legal, compliance, risk management, audit, customer care, front-line bankers to ensure timely and efficient delivery to commercial customers.
  • Provides support for ideas created by the Implementation Director to support integrated communications strategies and go-to-market initiatives.
  • Serves as an engaged resource for the team to assist with client requests to add or modify TPS services including input of enrollment forms, troubleshooting in partnership with operations and partnering with sales and/or product to have efficiency process in the implementation of associated services.
  • Provides new hire training, mentoring and in the moment coaching to less experienced team members.
  • Each team member is expected to be aware of risk within their functional area. This includes observing all policies, procedures, laws, regulations and risk limits specific to their role. Additionally, they should raise and report known or suspected violations to the appropriate Company authority in a timely fashion.
  • Performs other related duties as required.

Minimum Education:

  • High School diploma or equivalent

Minimum experience:

  • Five years of Treasury Management or related experience such as retail or commercial operational banking experience with emphasis on opening new accounts.

Required Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:

  • Knowledgeable in all cash management product offerings (e.g. Remote Deposit, Lockbox, ACH, Wires, Business Online Banking platforms, Information Reporting, Positive Pay, Direct Transmission Services)
  • Working knowledge of commercial deposit and Treasury Management applications, products and services
  • Skill putting together and managing project plans and directing individuals to successfully complete high-profile client implementations while meeting operational SLAs
  • Ability to develop stakeholder and relationship plans and drive successful activation
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Strong customer service skills with a high degree of sensitivity to customer concerns
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks
  • Analytical skills and the ability to review data with the utmost detail
  • Proficiency using banking systems and applications
  • Proficiency using Microsoft Office software products

Preferred Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:

  • Knowledge and understanding of consumer and treasury banking terminology, function and regulations
  • Basic knowledge of Treasury services, products, pricing, and billing processes and procedures
  • Treasury Management sales experience
  • Certified Treasury Professional designation
