Senior Director, Therapeutic Area (Oncology/Hematology)
We are currently seeking a Senior Director, Therapeutic Area (Oncology) to join our diverse and dynamic team. As Senior Director, Therapeutic Area at ICON you will be responsible for overseeing and guiding the development and execution of strategies within your designated therapeutic area, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and advancing our clinical and operational objectives.
What You Will Be Doing:
- Developing and implementing strategic plans for your therapeutic area that align with ICON Plc’s mission and objectives, focusing on innovation and excellence in clinical development and operations.
- Overseeing the design and execution of clinical programs and trials, ensuring they meet regulatory requirements and scientific standards.
- Collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to drive therapeutic area strategy, address challenges, and enhance program outcomes.
- Ensuring compliance with industry regulations, ethical standards, and internal policies, and implementing best practices in therapeutic area management.
- Staying informed about industry trends, scientific advancements, and emerging practices to continuously improve strategies and maintain a competitive edge.
- Providing strategic leadership and direction to drive innovation and support the organization’s goals within your therapeutic area.
- Travel requirements ~ 30% (may include global travel)
Your Profile:
- MD or PHD Required
- Extensive experience in clinical development and management within a specific therapeutic area, with a proven track record of strategic leadership and operational success.
- Strong understanding of clinical research processes, regulatory requirements, and therapeutic area trends.
- Exceptional leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and work across multidisciplinary teams to drive successful outcomes.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to build and maintain effective relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
