• Handle all insurance claim matters presented by clients of Risk Strategies Group • Manage the operations/workflows of the Claims Department staff • Setup and submit new claims to insurance carrier • Review and verify coverage • Notify Account Executives on any coverage issues • Request claims documentation to substantiate loss • Inspect large losses when necessary • Advise Account Executives, Producers and Management with status and settlements • Review lawsuits submitted by clients prior to filing with carriers • Oversee daily activities of Claims Department direct reports • Conduct performance evaluations and provide guidance and training for department personnel • Audit claim department personnel’s claim files for compliance • Conduct and/or attend client claim reviews as requested by client • Meet with team leaders to discuss claim needs and performance • Implement changes in procedure/processes • Oversee and assist on claim issues within the department • Manage department individuals and training needs • Create and cultivate a positive work environment for all employees
