Job Description
Role Description
This role involves supporting Katelyn as an Executive Assistant and Video Editor. The responsibilities include:

Video Editing (priority if skill is strong)
- Edit a high volume of short-form and long-form content for client projects, brand stories, and marketing campaigns.
- Work with multi-hour raw footage to understand the narrative and pull out key moments.
- Edit in multiple styles including social shorts, brand videos, reels, TikToks, promo clips, and longer-form content.
- Apply and adapt to different brand voices and visual guidelines.
- Incorporate hooks and attention-capturing tactics appropriate for current social platforms.

Trend Awareness & Proactive Content Creation
- Stay current with US social media and video trends.
- Proactively suggest and create trend-aligned content using existing footage.
- Identify opportunities within archived or backlog B-roll and produce timely content.
- Understand pacing, formats, and creative strategies that resonate with US audiences.

Media Organization & Asset Management
- Properly store, label, and organize all raw and edited media files.
- Create and maintain a structured filing system for footage, B-roll, music, graphics, and final exports.
- Ensure footage is categorized for fast turnaround when trends or campaign needs arise.

Admin / Executive Assistant & Internal Ops
- Email Management: Monitor inbox, surface priorities, draft and send responses.
- Calendar Management: Maintain Katelyn’s calendar and schedule meetings.
- Project & Task Management: Ensure all work is captured in the project management tool.
- Internal Design & Marketing Support: Help design and build internal marketing assets.

Relationship & Workflow
- Act as Katelyn’s right hand during the workday.
- Work closely with Katelyn to build a consistent daily rhythm.
- Maintain proactive day-to-day communication as projects move forward.
- Take initiative in organizing information and suggesting workflow improvements.
Qualifications
- Strong, demonstrable video editing skills.
- Ability to edit in multiple styles and formats.
- Ability to extract narrative and key moments from raw footage with limited direction.
- Ability to differentiate and execute on multiple brand voices and aesthetics.
- Comfort working primarily in US hours with a reliable morning overlap window.
- High initiative and ownership: must proactively move projects forward.
- Strong communication and reliability: responsive during agreed hours.
Requirements
- Experience with video editing software.
- Event planning/coordination experience is a plus.
- Experience with short-form social video (TikToks, Reels, YouTube Shorts) is a plus.
- Prior experience in creative studios, marketing agencies, or video-heavy environments is a plus.
- Comfort with a growing role that could scale from part-time to full-time.
