Talent Acquisition Specialist - Mfg. & Engineering

Weir

Remote (Preferred in the SE USA)

Purpose of Role: As a TA Specialist, you’ll play a pivotal role in identifying and recruiting top Manufacturing Operations and Engineering Talent. Your responsibilities include end to end recruitment to ensure high-quality hires and an exceptional candidate experience. Collaborating closely with hiring managers, you’ll execute effective sourcing, screening, selection, and onboarding processes. Success in this role hinges on your strong customer service orientation and ability to communicate effectively across all levels of the company.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Recruitment: Utilize proactive, creative and cost-effective recruitment methods to attract a diverse pool of candidates, including leveraging online recruiting resources, social media, ATS, local and community organizations, college partnerships and driving teammate referrals. Meet with Hiring Managers and HR Business Partners to get a deeper understanding of the requirements, the function, and how the role fits with the team and organization. Creating a great candidate experience in collaboration with other business stakeholders.

  • Sourcing: Utilize proactive, creative and cost-effective recruitment methods to attract and source a diverse pool of candidates, including leveraging online recruiting resources, social media, ATS, local and community organizations, college partnerships and driving teammate referrals.

  • Brand Ambassador: Be committed to delivering an exceptional candidate and manager experience through timely communication and follow up. Be a committed and visible advocate for Weir on Social Media platforms. Act as a Weir Ambassador in the internal and external markets, engaging important networks and associations.

  • Technology / Process: Be a leader with our growing Talent Acquisition Technology. Utilize ATS to proactively build talent pools for high frequency and high valued skills. Ensure you are following global processes to have a “One way of work” approach when documenting recruitment activities and workflow.

  • Safety First: Demonstrate 100% commitment to our zero harm behaviors in support of our drive towards developing a world class safety culture.

Job Knowledge/Education and Qualifications:

  • Full cycle recruitment in various functions and business lines, from blue collar and skilled trades to professional, engineering, and leadership searches.

  • Previous experience recruiting at all levels in Manufacturing and Engineering is highly desired.

  • Expert knowledge in utilizing external sources such as search engines, job boards, social media tools (e.g., LinkedIn) to identify candidates

  • Comfortable working with a sense of urgency and the desire to win.

  • Ability to visit company sites and train to best practices.
