Role Description
The Manager, Corporate Partnerships – New Business is responsible for identifying, cultivating, securing and stewarding new national corporate partnerships in support of the organization’s corporate strategy and the New Business team’s $4M annual revenue objective. This role is expected to generate approximately $1M in new corporate revenue annually and contribute meaningfully to the strategy, pipeline development, and overall success of the broader New Business revenue plan.
- Manage a portfolio of prospective corporate partners
- Execute the full new business lifecycle from prospect identification and outreach through proposal development, negotiation, closing and stewardship
- Secure five- and six-figure cash and in-kind partnerships aligned with organizational priorities and brand standards
- Retain ownership of newly secured partnerships through the initial activation and first-year engagement period
- Ensure alignment with agreed-upon deliverables and partner expectations
- Transition accounts to the Corporate Partnerships team at the appropriate stage of the partnership lifecycle
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required; degree in business, marketing, communications, or related field preferred
- At least 5 years of experience in corporate sales, business development, or corporate partnerships
- Demonstrated success in meeting or exceeding revenue targets
- Experience in a nonprofit environment preferred
- Strong understanding of corporate partnerships and cause marketing principles preferred
- Experience using CRM and research databases preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Programs
- Valid Driver’s License
- MVR – Motor Vehicle Report (annual)
- Criminal background check
- 100/300/100 personal auto coverage
Requirements
- Identify, prospect, solicit and secure new national corporate partnerships
- Close five- and six-figure cash and in-kind partnerships in support of the team’s $4M annual goal
- Achieve an individual annual new business revenue target of $1M
- Build, maintain, and actively manage a robust corporate pipeline
- Conduct prospect research, outreach strategy, meeting coordination, proposal development, contract negotiation, and revenue forecasting
- Prepare and present compelling proposals, pitch decks, and partnership strategies to corporate decision-makers
- Collaborate cross-departmentally to design customized partnership opportunities
- Maintain accurate CRM records, monitor KPIs, and provide regular pipeline and revenue reporting
- Perform other duties, as assigned
