Role Description

This role involves developing into a full cycle Sales Manager over a 12 month program within the automation industry.

  • Developing and executing a strategic sales plan across the US
  • Prospecting for new business to grow your project portfolio
  • Managing and growing key accounts while identifying new project opportunities
  • Leading complex, consultative sales processes from first conversation to contract signature
  • Conducting site surveys and working closely with customers to define technical and operational requirements
  • Writing and presenting detailed commercial proposals and forecasts
  • Negotiating with senior stakeholders across engineering, operations, procurement, and leadership teams
  • Working cross functionally with engineering, project delivery, and service teams to ensure flawless execution
  • This is a field-based role with regular customer visits. You’ll manage your own diary, priorities, and pipeline like a professional.

Qualifications

  • Experience in selling or engineering within the Automated Storage or Material Handling Industry
  • Educated in Engineering at degree level or above: Mechanical, Electrical or Industrial Engineering (Preferred)
  • An ambitious, hard working attitude
  • Internal sales experience within engineering / manufacturing industries will be advantageous
  • Experience within hands on engineering roles will also be advantageous
  • Clear and concise communication skills to ensure you can lead client projects

  • Ambitious and proactive technical person looking to develop into a sales role

Benefits

  • Base Salary: $100,000 - $150,000
  • OTE $180k - $200k+
  • Uncapped Commission
