Job Description
In this role you will manage New Non-Traditional Construction projects, and Remodel of existing stores through the entire process from site selection to store opening / reopening across our brands. This will include hands-on direct construction management as well as managing outside vendors, i.e. Architects, Engineers and outside construction management firms, as well as the other stakeholders within Arby's, Buffalo Wild Wings, Buffalo Wild Wings GO, Sonic, Dunkin', Baskin-Robbin's, and Jimmy John’s brands.
An ideal candidate would reside in Bentonville AR or Dallas TX.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Direct and lead multiple construction projects with designated franchisees: project management, planning, budgeting, FF&E, execution, vendor selection/management, quality control, resource management, etc. Qualifies and directs contractors, architects, engineers and other consultants, keeps them on schedule, holds them accountable and takes appropriate action in a timely manner to maintain proper project planning
- Effective internal communication: maintain strong relationships with your operations, training, and franchising partners.
- Manages all Project Schedules by tracking projects based on defined project plan timelines: provides timely and accurate updates through entering dates and schedule information within Inspire Brands' development tracking systems and comprehensive communication with key project stakeholder teams including; Operations, Real Estate, Architecture, and Equipment Purchasing, coordinating and reporting all aspects of the schedule.
- Performs on-site inspections and reviews when needed to ensure compliance with brand standards, quality of work, etc. Or support Franchise in a similar effort.
- Ensures quality control and adherence to the Brand’s design & construction standards and requirements and supports Inspire Brands Development stakeholders in this activity. Pro-active in identifying and communicating potential issues and concerns.
- Ensures effective and efficient coordination and communications with Inspire Brands vendors.
- Conducts / Participates in weekly coordination calls to ensure franchise opening timelines are attainable.
- Maintain up-to-date list of approved vendors / supplier / GC / business partners.
- Track and communicate issues and concerns to the Vertical lead / Director of Construction.
- Builds/maintains effective business relationships.
- Completes all post-open evaluations and punch walks
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS
- AS degree in Construction Management, Architecture or equivalent experience required
- 4 year degree in Construction Management, Architecture or equivalent experience preferred
- 2-5 years’ experience in general construction (non-residential) and construction project management OR
- 2-5 years’ experience in restaurant / retail construction management
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS or ABILITIES
- Experienced in project management (construction)
- Detailed knowledge of supporting technology: budgeting, estimating, scheduling.
- Strong relationship and influencing skills.
- Proficient in Excel.
- Working knowledge of building codes, ADA, federal and state requirements.
- Ability to navigate / work with regulatory agencies.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Persistent, detailed and able to report clearly and accurately.
- Ability to manage multiple projects.
- Demonstrated management and leadership skills.
- Ability to develop and maintain relationships with vendors and suppliers.
- Ability to determine the key step in a complex process to advance projects
TRAVEL
- Travel requirement of 50% to 70%.
