Job Description
Responsibilities
Peraton is looking for a Transition Project Executive to join our team of qualified and diverse individuals. This position will support a state agency in a client-facing role. The qualified individual will lead a project team comprised of both technical and process resources to meet scheduled deadlines per client requirements to successfully complete transition of an in-place Service Delivery project to Peraton from the incumbent supplier.
This position is remote.
Day to Day Roles and Responsibilties:
- Organizes, tracks and manages transition project action items, risks and issues.
- Ensures that transition project management and execution are performed according to established guidelines.
- Coordinates project activities throughout the established customer project management process.
- Reviews transition project status reports and is accountable for transition project performance.
- Updates transition project information in the portfolio management tool.
- Oversees and manages the operational aspects of ongoing projects
- Serves as liaison between project management and planning, project team, and line management.
- Reviews status of projects and budgets, manages schedules, and prepares status reports.
- Assesses project issues and develops resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals and objectives.
- Develops mechanisms for monitoring project progress and for intervention and problem solving with project managers, line managers, clients, and other stakeholders.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree and 12 years of experience or an Associates degree and 14 years of experience or a High School diploma and 16 years of experience.
- Must be a US Citizen
- Minimum of 12 years IT project management experience
- Understand Agile (Kanban and/or Scrum) and Waterfall Project Management methods.
- Superior verbal and written communication, including executive-level briefing experience
- Must have experience in MS Project
- Microsoft Office suite expertise experience
- Experience leading Operational transition to new tooling is essential
- Certifications:
- Must have a PMP certification
- ITIL Certification is required
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certification in ServiceNow
- Experience with JIRA

Target Salary Range
$135,000 - $216,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual’s experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.EEO
