Role Description
This role offers the opportunity to shape and deliver high-quality, customer-facing documentation for innovative software solutions. You will translate complex technical concepts into clear, accessible content that supports both technical and non-technical users. Working independently in a fast-paced, fully remote environment, you will collaborate with product, engineering, design, and support teams to ensure accuracy, usability, and consistency across all documentation. Your contributions will directly impact user adoption, satisfaction, and overall product experience. This is a contract role with the potential for extension, ideal for a self-motivated professional with experience in SaaS or complex software products.
- Write, revise, publish, and maintain customer-facing documentation, including user guides and Help Center articles.
- Translate technical concepts into clear, plain-language instructions tailored to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Conduct research and use products to test and validate documentation, ensuring accuracy and quality.
- Collaborate independently with remote teams (product, engineering, design, support, implementation) to gather information, clarify requirements, and resolve open issues.
- Organize and improve content management systems (primarily Zendesk) and maintain style guides, glossaries, and templates.
- Capture, annotate, and update screenshots or other visual aids to enhance written content.
- Provide constructive feedback and incorporate team feedback to continuously improve documentation quality.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of technical writing experience, preferably in SaaS or complex software environments.
- Proven ability to simplify technical subjects and produce clear, accessible content for a diverse audience.
- Demonstrated portfolio of published customer-facing documentation (user guides, Help Center articles).
- Experience using AI tools for research, context gathering, and content creation, with the ability to verify and correct AI-generated content.
- Familiarity with content management or publication tools such as Zendesk, Notion, or similar platforms.
- Strong organizational skills and proven ability to manage priorities and meet tight deadlines.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work autonomously and productively in fast-paced, distributed teams.

- Experience creating AI-powered workflows or improving internal processes with automation.
- Prior contract or freelance technical writing experience.
- Experience producing supporting videos and managing internal content infrastructure (glossaries, style guides, reference materials).
