Position: Patient Access Specialist 
Shift: 8:15AM-4:45PM (Monday through Friday)

Experience: 
1. 2-3 years of patient registration, appointment scheduling, unit clerk, financial counseling or customer service experience in a fast-paced, high volume, high acuity environment. 
2. Strong persuasion, organizational and follow through skills. 
3. Ability to multi-task under a moderate amount of pressure, and to interact and work with clinical as well as nonclinical staff.

Education: 
High school diploma or GED

Licensures/Certifications: 
N/A

Job Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years recent clinical experience in critical care, emergency department, home health, or physician practice nursing is required.
  • Telephone triage experience of at least 1 year is strongly preferred.
  • Women's Health Nursing required for this position.
  • Associates Degree Required - Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing required.
  • BSN strongly preferred.
  • PA RN license OR a multi-state license verified in one of the approved states through the Nursing Licensure Compact.
  • Provider BLS (American Heart Assoc/American Red Cross) required.
