Delta Regional Authority is seeking a dedicated Monitoring and Compliance Analyst for a full-time, remote role based in AL, AR, IL, KY, LA, MO, MS, or TN. YOUR SCHEDULE
This is a full-time, remote position. You will collaborate virtually with teammates, partners, and stakeholders across multiple states, with regular work hours the capacity for frequent travel within the DRA service area to support monitoring and compliance activities.
YOUR DAY
As a Monitoring and Compliance Analyst, you will start your day by coordinating with Local Development Districts, awardees, and partner institutions to plan and collect essential data for monitoring purposes. You will conduct both on-site and remote monitoring activities to ensure grant recipients are meeting DRA requirements, often planning pre-audits and reviewing reports and financial documents. Throughout the day, you will engage in risk assessments, track audits, and work closely with DRA's Director of Finance to resolve compliance issues. You will be the go-to resource for providing technical assistance and training to stakeholders, ensuring everyone understands DRA's requirements and protocols. Managing and analyzing data, you will support informed decision-making and help develop policies and best practices that drive effective monitoring and compliance.
MONITORING AND COMPLIANCE ANALYST REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor's degree in economics, statistics, urban and regional development, project management, business/public administration, or a relevant field
- 1+ year(s) of experience in program or project monitoring and evaluation in the public or private sector, preferably related to urban or economic development
- Experience handling confidential or sensitive information with integrity
- Experience in project planning, monitoring, and evaluation, especially in a government setting
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) or related software
- Comfortable using remote work tools and virtual communication platforms such as Zoom or Teams
- Critical thinking, problem-solving, and a proactive approach
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to connect with diverse audiences
- Collaborative team player with strong interpersonal skills
- Ability to exercise sound judgment, discretion, and professionalism
- Ability to travel (this position requires frequent travel)
- Excellent organizational skills with keen attention to detail
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage deadlines in a dynamic environment
