Role Description
The Center for Cancer and Blood Disorders at Pagosa Springs Medical Center has an opportunity available for a PRN Medical Oncology/Hematology physician. The physician’s duties will include:
- Management of Oncology and Infusion patients
- Examination, treatment, consultation, follow-up, referral, and ordering labs/imaging
- Participation in patient satisfaction programs
- Involvement in quality improvement initiatives
- Contribution to organizational or departmental goals and objectives to assure safe, quality care
Depending upon the experience of the physician and circumstances, PSMC will consider a telemedicine physician for PRN services.
Schedule
- PRN physicians will work shifts as requested by PSMC
- Staff at PSMC’s Center for Cancer and Blood Disorders Center are scheduled for 10-hour shifts on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays
Compensation
- Compensation: Three thousand dollars ($3,000.00) per 10-hour shift
Retirement
- 401a (mandatory plan): employee and employer each contribute 6% of earnings subject to IRS maximum contribution limits and five-year vesting
- 457: optional retirement plan
Other
- PSMC provides professional liability insurance coverage for employed physicians
- PSMC is a Public Service Loan Forgiveness eligible employer
Qualifications
- At least three years of experience
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Oncology
