IT Security Analyst
Position Summary The Security Analyst is responsible for monitoring, analyzing, and responding to security incidents across the organization’s IT infrastructure. This role ensures the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of systems and data by implementing security measures, conducting risk assessments, and supporting compliance initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
• Monitor and Respond:
o Continuously monitor security alerts and logs from SIEM tools, firewalls, IDS/IPS, and endpoint protection systems.
o Investigate and respond to security incidents, escalating as necessary.
• Threat Analysis & Risk Management:
o Perform vulnerability assessments and recommend remediation strategies.
o Analyze emerging threats and provide guidance on risk mitigation.
• Policy & Compliance: o Assist in maintaining security policies, standards, and procedures.
o Support compliance with frameworks such as ISO 27001, NIST, PCI-DSS, SOC2, GDPR, SOX, and CMMC.
• Security Tools & Technologies:
o Manage and optimize security tools (e.g., SIEM, EDR, DLP, MFA).
o Collaborate with IT teams to ensure secure configurations and patch management.
• Reporting & Documentation:
o Prepare incident reports and maintain accurate security documentation.
o Provide regular updates on security posture and risk metrics to leadership.
Qualifications
• Education:
o Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• Experience:
o 5+ years in information security or related IT role.
o Hands-on experience with SIEM, IDS/IPS, firewalls, and endpoint security solutions.
• Skills:
o Strong understanding of networking, operating systems, and cloud security.
o Knowledge of security frameworks and compliance standards.
o Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Certifications (Preferred):
o CompTIA Security+, CEH, CISSP, or similar.
Soft Skills:
• Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
• Detail-oriented with a proactive approach to security.

The Security Advisor will assess customer Falcon environments against Falcon Complete standards, providing recommendations for improved security posture and creating remediation plans. This role involves direct customer contact to address misalignments, documenting issues, resolving them according to SLAs, and partnering with internal teams for customer satisfaction.
