The role and responsibilities

As a Sales Director for the Databricks Channel, you will be at the forefront of driving sales strategies specifically for our services aligned with Databricks technology. Your goal will be to establish, nurture, and expand relationships with key clients while working closely with the Databricks team. This role requires about 50% travel, and the ideal candidate should be located in a major metropolitan area.

  • Experienced and Skilled – With 10–15 years in consulting sales or a related role, you have a proven track record of exceeding sales targets and delivering measurable results. You have a deep understanding of the Databricks ecosystem and know how to identify and address client needs effectively.

Job Requirements

  • Responsibilities:
  • Achieve and exceed sales targets related to Databricks and associated services.
  • Engage in lead generation activities, including cold calls, email campaigns, and regional events to increase market share.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to define and present client solutions effectively.
  • Represent the Tiger Analytics brand in your designated territory, ensuring customer success and satisfaction.
  • Identify key stakeholders and champions within client organizations to drive sales.
  • Maintain a healthy sales pipeline and accurately forecast sales performance.
  • Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of B2B sales experience, preferably with a focus on technology services; familiarity with Databricks is essential.
  • Demonstrated success in co-selling with technology partners, especially Databricks.
  • Experience selling data-related or AI/ML solutions is strongly preferred.
  • Knowledge of key industries and business applications of data analytics.
  • Capability to engage with stakeholders across various levels to clarify requirements and align goals.
  • Familiarity with leading data platforms and technologies, notably cloud solutions.
  • Track record of managing complex sales processes from initial engagement to closure.
  • Experience in developing proposals and leading contract negotiations.
  • Ability to establish long-term client relationships and manage sizable deals effectively.
  • Strong communication skills and proven executive presence.
  • A collaborative mindset, able to thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
  • Willingness to travel up to 50% as required.
  • Personality Traits: Dynamic, proactive, and an excellent communicator with a penchant for building relationships.
