Role Description
PRIME Education, a property of Everyday Health Group, is looking for an Associate Financial Analyst. The Associate Financial Analyst is a member of the Finance Department and reports to the Sr. Manager, FP&A. They are responsible for:
- Preparing budgets for all grant proposals.
- Providing department-specific budgets for awarded grants/contracts.
- Tracking the status and profitability of all active grants.
- Preparing budget reconciliations at the conclusion of a program.
- Data input and tracking for all grant submissions/decisions.
- Working closely with the Sr. Manager, FP&A and other finance team members to prepare and interpret historical financial data, including weekly reporting metrics and key performance indicators.
- Ensuring that the company’s financial and accounting processes are communicated clearly and effectively.
This is a remote position open to candidates residing in the US. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position. Work is conducted Monday–Friday with occasional flexibility needed to align with project deadlines.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration.
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret accounting and financial reports.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, Outlook, and Excel; Oracle Fusion experience is a plus.
- Strong Excel modeling, data manipulation, and analytical skills.
- Understanding or prior experience with general ledger functions and the month/year end close process.
- Understanding or prior experience with generally accepted accounting principles.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to maintain complete confidentiality in all matters pertaining to Finance and Human Resources.
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
Requirements
- Develop accurate and timely project budgets for grants/proposals and input detailed budgets into customer grant portals.
- Develop key statistics, on a per-budget basis, to highlight profitable and fair market value price points.
- Support the Sr. Manager, FP&A and other finance team members with timely information, facts and trending, financial modeling, and other data requests.
- Use company-specific and overall market data to help drive financial decisions.
- Assist and work directly with the Business Development team to develop program concept estimates.
- Update internal data-tracking reports and spreadsheets on an ongoing basis.
- Manage, oversee, and consistently update shared documents in collaboration with other departments.
- Update weekly KPI reports sent to management and parent company.
- Make recommendations to leadership regarding the efficient allocation of the company’s resources based on profitability and the labor required to complete projects.
- Compile back-up documentation to assist in milestone and final reconciliations of grants.
- Reconcile budgets for completed projects, in collaboration with the outcomes team, in an accurate and timely manner.
- Contribute to yearly budgeting and forecasting activities at the direction of the Sr. Manager, FP&A and SVP, Finance & Operations.
- Assist in tracking, updating, and amending revenue on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis.
- Develop and send invoices to customers; assist the Sr. Manager FP&A with A/R tracking.
- Perform other duties and ad hoc projects as needed.
