Job Description
Role Description
You’re a highly technical and execution-driven Development Experience Leader looking to own and elevate the end-to-end software delivery experience across the organization. This role requires deep empathy for developers, a strong understanding of modern engineering workflows, and the ability to remove friction at scale. You will lead our CI/CD engineering function, drive the strategy for fully automated touchless deployments into production, and ensure all platform designs meet stringent Disaster Recovery (DR) and resiliency requirements.
You will partner closely with engineering, security, infrastructure, and product to build a world-class developer platform tailored for high-velocity teams operating in a regulated, security-sensitive financial or crypto environment.
What You’ll Do
- Serve as the primary champion of developer experience, setting a long-term DevEx vision and roadmap.
- Work directly with engineers to deeply understand pain points, workflow inefficiencies, and systemic barriers to productivity.
- Translate developer problems into scalable tooling, automation, and platform features.
- Lead and mentor a high-performing CI/CD engineering team responsible for all build, deploy, and release automation.
- Architect and deliver a frictionless, touchless deployment platform supporting rapid, safe, auditable releases into production.
- Implement industry-grade release automation, rollback strategies, environment standardization, and compliance guardrails.
- Ensure all developer platforms, pipelines, and supporting infrastructure meet rigorous availability, continuity, and DR requirements.
- Partner with SRE and Infra teams to build resilient, self-healing, observable systems.
- Own the creation and maintenance of internal developer tools, SDKs, frameworks, and automation.
- Ensure the reliability, performance, and scalability of development infrastructure.
- Establish and enforce engineering best practices across teams, including documentation and training.
- Partner with Security to embed secure-by-default patterns into the platform.
- Partner with Product to align DevEx improvements with business priorities.
- Work with leadership to define KPIs for developer productivity and continuously measure impact.
Qualifications
- 10+ years of engineering experience, including senior-level ownership of DevEx, Developer Platforms, DevOps, or CI/CD.
- Demonstrated success leading engineering teams.
- Expert-level proficiency in Python, Go, Bash or similar languages.
- Deep experience with AWS and Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform, Ansible).
- Mastery of modern CI/CD systems (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, FluxCD, Harness).
- Strong background in production release automation, deployment safety, rollback strategy, and release governance.
- Experience in financial services, crypto, or other regulated, high-security environments.
- Strong communication skills and ability to operate across a broad technical and executive audience.
- Highly execution-driven with a track record of delivering measurable improvements.
Bonus Points
- Advanced expertise in containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Familiarity with developer-facing observability and telemetry (Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog).
- Experience building internal platforms or paved-road developer workflows.
- Proficiency with GitHub Enterprise, GitHub Copilot, and productivity-focused AI tooling.
- Experience with artifact management platforms (JFrog Artifactory).
- Proven track record of driving cultural adoption of DevOps, automation, and resilient design.
Benefits
- Competitive base salary and discretionary bonus.
- Flexible Time Off (i.e. unlimited paid vacation days).
- Company paid Holidays (11).
- Company paid sick leave.
- Company-paid health and protective benefits for employees, partners, and other dependents.
- 3% 401(k) company contribution.
- Competitive family planning benefits for US employees.
- Generous paid Parental Leave.
