Job Description
Who We Are:
InGenius Prep was founded in 2013 by law students at Harvard and Yale. In that time, the company has grown to a team of more than 200 full-time employees, 600 part-time employees, as well as offices in the U.S., Canada, China, amongst other countries.
What We Do:
Our primary focus is assisting students in applying to U.S. Colleges and Graduate schools. Our company is fast-paced and exciting. We operate as a team, and everyone is given opportunities to advance in the organization.
How You’ll Help:
We are looking for a leader to design and execute a forward-looking talent strategy that aligns with our business goals. As the Director of Recruiting, you will take full ownership of the recruiting department, while establishing practical processes across workforce planning, onboarding, and succession. You will thrive in this role if you enjoy fast-paced environments, lead by example, use data to drive decisions, and can balance high-level execution with leadership.
What You’ll Do:
- Design a comprehensive talent strategy aligned with the company mission and growth objectives.
- Elevate our global talent capabilities by building a culture of 'hunting' rather than 'gathering.' You will evolve our model to support complex senior-level hiring, mentoring the team to abandon repetitive volume tactics in favor of bespoke, high-conversion strategies for top-tier leadership talent.
- Drive executive alignment through data-backed storytelling. You will redefine our reporting standards to focus on actionable insights rather than status updates, identifying gaps in our current datasets and presenting proactive solutions to leadership to accelerate hiring velocity.
- Act as a trusted advisor to the CEO and executive team, shaping hiring strategies and navigating workforce planning tradeoffs.
- Lead recruiting for high-impact roles across sales, marketing, and education, ensuring a seamless journey for every candidate.
- Build diverse talent pipelines by scouting for "grit" and looking both within and outside traditional industry boundaries.
- Manage the ATS and recruiting tools to ensure they remain scalable and data-driven
You'll be a good fit if you:
- Bring 10 or more years of experience in talent acquisition and resourcing within consulting, professional services, or delivery-based environments.
- Have a background includes at least 7 years of progressive growth with 4 or more years spent leading teams in fast-paced startup settings.
- Possess a proven track record of building and scaling comprehensive recruiting functions from the ground up.
- Offer deep expertise in recruiting markets for sales, marketing, educational, and professional roles.
- Thrive when stepping into ambiguity and enjoy creating order without over-engineering your processes.
- Balance high-level strategic planning with a genuine willingness to jump into recruiting assignments whenever the team needs support.
- Lead the organization with calm and credibility, moving the organization from urgency-driven hiring toward thoughtful, proactive planning
Benefits:
InGenius Prep offers employees a competitive salary along with paid time off, healthcare, vision, dental, retirement options, parental leave, remote work flexibility, professional development and a fun, collaborative work environment.
What We Believe:
InGenius Prep is an equal opportunity employer, and all qualified candidates will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability or veteran status.
