Role Description
We are currently seeking Patient Access Counsel to support pharmaceutical and biotechnology clients. This role will focus on providing legal guidance on patient support programs, including copay assistance programs, HUB services, reimbursement support, and patient access services associated with high-cost and specialty therapies. The ideal candidate will have direct experience advising pharmaceutical manufacturers on patient access programs and strong expertise in Fraud & Abuse risk management, particularly as applied to patient support program structures.
- Provide legal counsel on the design, implementation, and oversight of patient support programs, including copay assistance programs, HUB services, and reimbursement support initiatives.
- Advise on Fraud & Abuse risk management, including application of the Anti-Kickback Statute, False Claims Act, and related healthcare laws.
- Review program structures, vendor relationships, and patient-facing services (such as injection support and access services) to ensure compliance with federal and state requirements.
- Support patient access initiatives involving specialty therapies, biologics, and high-cost treatments.
- Partner cross-functionally with Market Access, Commercial, Compliance, and Patient Services teams.
Qualifications
- Direct experience advising pharmaceutical or biotechnology manufacturers on patient access or patient support programs.
- Experience with copay assistance programs, HUB services, or reimbursement support programs.
- Strong background in Fraud & Abuse laws as applied to patient access initiatives.
- Experience working within pharmaceutical manufacturer infrastructures or similar patient support environments.
- Active license and good standing in a U.S. state.

- The estimated total compensation for full-time Axiom attorney roles is $104,500-325,000 per year and for non-attorney roles is $71,250-309,750 per year.
- Compensation decisions are based on various factors, including, but not limited to, experience, skills, certifications, location, and business needs.
