Role Description

In this role, you will play a vital part in ensuring patients receive timely and accurate scheduling for their medical services. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Direct data entry of patient information into our electronic medical records.

  • Maintaining compliance with healthcare regulations.
  • Supporting patient satisfaction and the efficiency of our healthcare operations.

Accountabilities:

  • Navigate web-based systems for patient registration and scheduling.
  • Accurately enter patient demographic and insurance information.
  • Provide explanations of scheduled procedures and necessary instructions.
  • Document patient interactions and appointment details accurately.
  • Verify insurance eligibility and benefits for medical services.
  • Initiate and document insurance authorizations as required.
  • Educate patients on insurance coverage and financial assistance.
  • Support revenue cycle functions and assist with patient inquiries.
  • Maintain compliance with healthcare regulations and reporting standards.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Medical Terminology coursework preferred.
  • Basic computer skills, including typing 25 - 35 words per minute.
  • 1 year of call center or customer service experience preferred.
  • Experience in a medical facility preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
