Overview
The Healthcare Data Analyst provides analytical and reporting support to business partners by developing and maintaining dashboards, reports, and data analyses that monitor operational and program performance. This role supports the design and delivery of data-driven insights that enable leaders to make informed decisions across clinical, operational, and financial domains.
The analyst works closely with internal stakeholders to translate business needs into data requirements and reporting solutions. Responsibilities include supporting the development of dashboards and self-service analytics tools, conducting ad-hoc analysis, defining reporting requirements, and ensuring data quality and accuracy across reporting platforms.
This position supports reporting initiatives across multiple healthcare domains including network management, financial and operational performance, population health analytics, and regulatory reporting. The Healthcare Data Analyst also contributes to continuous improvement efforts by identifying opportunities to enhance data processes, reporting capabilities, and analytics solutions.
As a subject matter contributor, the Healthcare Data Analyst leverages strong analytical and technical skills to interpret complex datasets and provide actionable insights that support strategic decision-making and operational improvement.
Education
- BLD - Bachelor's Level Degree (Required)
Certification/Licensure
- No specific certification or licensure requirements
Experience
Experience developing dashboards and reports using Power BI or similar data visualization tools
Strong SQL skills, including writing queries and performing data joins for reporting and analysis
Experience performing data analysis and reporting to support operational, financial, or clinical performance
Experience translating business needs into reporting requirements and analytical insights
Ability to work independently while supporting internal stakeholders with data-driven decision making
Experience with Python for data analysis or reporting support Preferred
Exposure to Databricks or modern data platforms preferred
Experience using SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS) preferred
Experience supporting network management, operational reporting, or financial analysis within a healthcare environment preferred
Experience with process improvement methodologies (Lean or Six Sigma) preferred.
