Job Description
Role Description
Responsible for working towards the resolution of problem transactions that result from the processing of payments or the generation of disbursements.
- Process child support payments, both paper and electronic form, in the SDU system in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures.
- Research, outreach and document actions taken involving unidentified payments.
- Coordinate with Child support Field Units, county officials, other states, employers, and other various entities to distribute child support funds to the appropriate recipients.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- At least one year experience working in an area of SDU payment processing or in research.
- An equivalent combination of education and experience that provides the knowledge, skills, and abilities needed to perform the work.
- Must be fluent in English.
Requirements
- Knowledge of modern office practices, procedures, and equipment.
- Record-keeping techniques.
- Customer service techniques, including how to answer inbound and outbound calls.
- Ability to pay attention to detail.
- Accurately key data.
- Work independently with little direction and as a team member in a fast-paced environment.
- Communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships.
- Meet stringent schedules and timelines.
- Work confidentially with discretion.
- Apply interpersonal skills using tact, patience, and courtesy.
- Work various schedules and overtime, when necessary; must be flexible.
