About the role
Point is on a mission to make homeownership more valuable and accessible. Through our Home Equity Investment (HEI), we have pioneered a new way of giving homeowners access to what is often their largest financial asset.
The Wholesale Account Executive role is an opportunity to be a foundational part of launching and scaling a de novo wholesale HEI origination program. This is an entrepreneurial, hunter-focused role tasked with identifying, onboarding, and managing wholesale origination partnerships with licensed mortgage originators to help us reach our next 10x growth milestones. You will be instrumental in building this channel and team from the ground up.
Your responsibilities
- Aggressively prospect, expand, and manage broker relationships centered on HEI originations on the Point platform
- Lead the outreach, qualification, and onboarding processes to establish new, growth-oriented partnerships, effectively acting as a hunter to build channel volume.
- Work with existing brokers to grow origination volume, including through education, marketing support, and collaborative feedback processes
- Act as liaison between brokers and Point operations staff to communicate status updates and support the closing of HEI contracts
- Share customer feedback and market color to Point business and product leaders to inform product and policy roadmaps
About you
Minimum Required Skills & Experiences
- 7+ years in the mortgage industry, preferably leading account growth in a wholesale or correspondent lending capacity.
- Well-developed understanding of mortgage underwriting, processing, closing, and sales procedures.
- Exceptional account management, communication, and presentation skills.
- Strong business acumen.
- Unimpeachable integrity.
- Ability to operate with professionalism, grace, and curiosity in a fast-growing, start-up-minded environment.
- A genuine entrepreneurial mindset, with the drive and enthusiasm to thrive in a fast-growing environment where you will be instrumental in building a new origination channel from scratch.

- Proven “hunter” mentality with a track record of successfully initiating and closing new business relationships.
- Direct, hands-on experience growing a de novo wholesale or correspondent origination channel.
- Expert-level understanding of home equity and cash-out mortgage products.

Compensation at Point will be determined by skills, experience, and geographic location. Point has identified the expected annual base salary for this role at this level based on the market by tiers (Region | Location | Market Salary):
- Tier 1 | San Francisco Bay Area, New York, and Seattle | $160,550 - $177,450
- Tier 2 | Chicago, Austin, Denver, Boston, Washington DC, San Diego, Portland, Sacramento, Philadelphia, Los Angeles & Santa Barbara | $152,950 - $169,050
- Tier 3 | All other US metro areas | $144,400 - $159,600
**In addition to base salary, this role is eligible for a performance-based incentive plan with uncapped earnings potential, along with equity in Point.
This does not include any other potential components of the compensation package, including equity, benefits, and perks outlined above. At the launch of each position, we benchmark compensation to the appropriate role and level utilizing competitive compensation data from various data sources as references. At the offer stage, we use the signal we received from our interviews, coupled with your experience, location, and other job-related factors, to determine final compensation.
