You’ll lead the strategy and day-to-day operations of Leave, ADA/PWFA, and PFML programs, ensuring compliance and a seamless experience for employees and leaders alike. Partnering with internal teams and external vendors, you’ll drive process improvements, implement system enhancements, and communicate program vision to ensure consistent, high-quality outcomes. Every day, you’ll use data and collaboration to elevate absence management capabilities while delivering clear, empathetic support across the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Drive operational excellence and continuous improvement initiatives, prioritizing business processes, customer impact, efficiency, and cost-effective service delivery to enhance the employee and client experience.
  • Develop and manage quantitative goals, metrics, and performance standards for claims and absence operations, monitoring quality, production, and service outcomes to ensure objectives are met or exceeded.
  • Analyze legislation, mandates, and regulatory requirements, ensuring compliance and directing corrective actions as needed, including process enhancements to address noncompliance.
  • Serve as a strategic partner to internal stakeholders, Field Sales, and external brokers, supporting escalated issues, customer customization needs, and presentations for key accounts.
  • Lead, develop, and engage teams—on-site and remote—fostering talent development, succession planning, accountability, and a fair, inclusive working environment.

Qualifications

  • 10 years of leadership experience with deep expertise in absence management programs, including FMLA, ADA, and PFML.
  • Proven experience leading cross-functional initiatives and partnering with vendors to achieve operational excellence.
  • Strong change management, communication, and program implementation skills.
  • Ability to balance compliance, operational efficiency, and customer experience priorities.
  • Analytical skills to leverage data for performance monitoring and program improvement.
  • Leadership skills to inspire teams, influence without direct authority, and drive organizational alignment.
  • Commitment to delivering high-quality service and maintaining consistent, compliant processes.
  • You promote a culture of diversity and inclusion, value different ideas and opinions, and listen courageously, remaining curious in all that you do.
  • Able to work remotely with access to a high-speed internet connection and located in the United States or Puerto Rico.

Benefits
